These installation artworks by John Dahlsen are a combination of two primary elements that make up my recent work. The wall works are large scale high resolution digital prints on canvas. The floor piece is made from the found plastics. One mimicking the other.
Is it still “art” if it was made on a computer? http://on.fb.me/QKHTHb
It’s art if it’s art, yeah?
Joschi Herczeg and Daniele Kaeher create light illusions using highly complex pyrotechnics. In their series Explosion, they built a custom-made detonator, which is connected to the cameras and synchronized to snap a photo at the very moment of the explosion. In this way, they were able to capture motion and time in a split second of an explosion.

“I am interested in ideas of fragility and transience and how these states exist in the architecture of the public and private spaces in which we live. I am inspired by our mental and physical experiences of spaces and buildings as we move through them and/or they change over time. In many ways I see buildings and structures as surrogates for ourselves and use them to investigate and illustrate our human frailties.”
